Whether it is too sleek down your edges or create a bomb wash n go. Eco Styler Gel is a ton of naturals go-to. However, like most products, eco styler gel does has its pros and cons. One of the biggest cons for me is that I get super hard hair once it dried. A few months ago Ecoco dropped two new Eco Style gels: (1) Eco Styler Coconut Oil and (2) Eco Styler Caster Oil and Flaxseed Oil Gel. The natural hair community went crazy.
REVIEW
Luckily, I was able to get my hands on both bottles. Both products are priced at $12.00 on Ecoco website or you can purchase it from Amazon for $10.99 or 8 oz for $5.99. (Black Castor Oil & Flaxseed Oil) The Coconut Oil Gel can be purchased as an add-on at $5.65 for 8 oz and $8.35 for 16 oz. (I could not find a prime version on Amazon). If you do not want to wait for shipping, you will probably find both of these products in local beauty stores.
Interested in purchasing any of the new eco styler gels? I highly recommend the Castor Oil and Flaxseed Oil Gel, as it has definitely become a staple gel for me. Overall, I hated the coconut oil based gel. However, I had a feeling that would be the case because I have learned over the last year that my hair is not the biggest fan of coconut oil. In addition, the coconut oil gel flaked like crazy. Most products I tested it out with end up causing major flaking and by the end of day two, I literally had flakes all over my clothing.
The castor oil and flaxseed oil gel, however, was everything I wanted the new line to be. I gave me amazing definitions and it left my hair extremely soft and moisturized. It easily replaces my favorite eco styler gel which is the argan oil line.
