First, 2017 went by extremely fast. The older crowd was not kidding when they said after the age 21 the years just start to blend together. However, I for one am very glad that 2017 is over. I feel like it was full of so much stress and tragedy. (none of it came from my doing). Hopefully, 2018 is a brighter and better year.
Every year, from as far back as I can remember, I always set out a few goals I want to accomplish in the new year. I always keep the goals realistic so that I actually accomplish them throughout the year. For me, 2018 is all about overall wellness for me. My track record for my health in 2017 was absolute trash. I probably only hit the gym about 5 weeks out of the year, I ate nothing but junk, and I found myself sick all the time. So this year I want to focus on my health and well-being. In this post, I will share my goals for 2018.
New Year New Goals
Health & Fitness
Eat Breakfast Every day – Guilty as charged. I am one of those people who will skip out on breakfast. I’m not really a big fan of breakfast food so a lot of times I just skip it all together. I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day and skipping it is bad for your health in the long term. So this year I want to focus on eating breakfast every day even if it is a small meal.
Workout 4 -5 Times a Week – All my friends are getting their pre-law school bodies back but me. This year I am determined to hit the gym 4 to 5 times a week for at least 25-30 minutes a day.
Half of gallon of Water a Day – At the beginning of December 2017, I did the gallon of water a day challenge. I did it for five days straight and it was probably the best thing I ever did for my body. I felt awake in the morning and I slept through the night. Now, a gallon of water a day for 365 days its entirely to much water for my body and I don’t want to spend the whole year making trips to the bathroom. However, I believe a half gallon is just enough water to challenge me and not be excessive for 365 days.
Payoff $10,000 worth of debt – I am determined to pay off all my credit card debts by the end of this year. That way when 2019 comes around I only have my bar loan, auto loan and students loans to tackle.
Increase my Side Hustle Income – I have been doing this internet side hustle for over 6 years and I only make about $120 – $140 dollars every two months. While I am not trying to do youtube or blogging full-time I would love to increase my monthly income to $500 – $1000 dollars to help me pay off my debt faster.
Start Couponing – Couponing is something I really want to get into this year. I do not want to become an extreme couponing (I do not have space like that in my apartment) I do want to cut my grocery bill so more without giving up my favorite foods.
Read 20 Books – This one is pretty self-explanatory
No electronics for an hour before bed – We live in a day and age where the electronics take over your life. I really want to get to the point where I give up my electronics for an hour right before bed so that my mind can actually rest.
Well, there you have it. My goals for 2018. I truly believe that these goals are realistic and look forward to accomplishing
